Black Panther Party for Self Defense

June 2020 Photo of the Month – In January 2017 I photographed scenes of All Power to the People, an exhibit at the Oakland Museum of California that opened in October of 2016 – the 50th anniversary of the Black Panther Party for Self Defense. This photo is from a 2018 photo essay that I intend to re-release sometime in July 2020.

While at the exhibit with Karen Pickett and Anne Petermann, Anne bought me a copy of the book below signed by Bobby Seale. The book documents the history of the movement that is as relevant today as it was in the past.
