Langelle Photography website officially launches

Delavan-Grider Community Center
Delavan-Grider Community Center  Buffalo, NY

This website officially launches 11 April 2013.  Welcome…

The photo above is the entrance into the Delavan-Grider Community Center.  One of Langelle Photography’s Concerned Photography Programs involves working with the Delavan-Grider community, predominantly an African American neighborhood in Buffalo, NY that is organizing for positive change.

The program uses photojournalism to advance the community goals of improving the physical health of residents and the environmental quality of the neighborhood.  We will use photos to tell the community’s stories—as defined by them—to local, regional and national audiences to raise awareness of the situation, increase political pressure and help enable the community to reach its goals.

Although the website launched on schedule, unfortunately the photojournalism project in Delavan-Grider has been cancelled.
